Children and Young people with Disabilities in Ireland are being neglected and ignored. Waiting lists for assessment and access to services are as atrociously long as 30 months. 

Many families have no access to support or therapies. Their children do not have safe ways to complete their Activities of Daily Living such as eating and drinking, washing and dressing, mobilising and playing. Many have an unsuitable school place or none at all. 

The mental health of our children and their families are brushed off as a problem to deal with in the future. Children with disordered eating, fluctuating mood and self injurious behaviours are disregarded as "not urgent" enough. Holistic care is not a reality for our disabled community. 

3 years quietly fighting the system. Quietly fighting for Services for our children. No more. The time has come to channel the anger you feel into action. It is time to advocate, educate and rally for our disabled community.

It is time to support the community and get your feet/wheels and mobility aids out on our streets. #letsmakeafuss
