We need a public fireworks display in Hamilton for Guy Fawkes. 

The public is becoming more aware of the dangers fireworks pose to animals. Due to NZ not having a set day the fireworks can be used, it is common for them to be heard at all hours of the night for many months. This is not only a great frustration for the surrounding community, but it also means that animals are frightened for extended periods of time.

In order to reduce the number of private fireworks displays, we need an alternative. I propose a large public display to be held on November 5th. Balloons Over Waikato host a stunning display at the university each year and I believe this would also make an ideal location. 

I hope to have Hamilton's support in this petition.
