Our neighborhood, Dalsig, faces critical changes that threaten the very character we cherish. The proposed rezoning of Erf 4363 for use as commune or student living quarters poses imminent challenges. I, like many other residents, find this development utterly distressing for several reasons.

The potential devaluation of surrounding properties is one major concern. Similar changes in other areas often lead to a detrimental decrease in property values. This could significantly affect our financial stability and future investment opportunities.

Die Boord residents can testify to this; the establishment of communes in their area led to ongoing issues that are hard to remedy and nearly impossible to reverse.
