Halt the Proposed Boningale Homes Development in Codsall

Halt the Proposed Boningale Homes Development in Codsall
The Issue
I am a resident of Codsall, Wolverhampton, UK and I am deeply concerned about the proposed development of 600 homes by Boningale Homes on land next to Heath House Lane. This is not just a matter of aesthetics or preserving our green belt land - it's about the capacity of our community to handle such an influx.
Codsall has already seen significant development in recent years, and this new proposal threatens to overburden our infrastructure further. Our roads, schools, and public services are already stretched thin. Adding another 600 homes could potentially bring in over 1,000 additional residents (based on average UK household size), which would put an unbearable strain on these resources.
Moreover, this proposed development is set to take place on green belt land. The preservation of these areas is crucial for maintaining local biodiversity and providing space for outdoor recreation – both vital aspects for the health and wellbeing of our community.
The landscape change will be massive; it will alter the character of our village irreversibly. We understand that housing needs are real but believe there must be more sustainable solutions that do not involve encroaching onto valuable green spaces.
We urge local authorities to reconsider this proposal and explore alternative locations or methods for meeting housing demands that do not compromise the integrity of Codsall's environment or its residents' quality of life.
Please sign this petition if you share these concerns about how this large-scale development could impact Codsall's future.
