Petition Supporters,

Unfortunately the fight is still not over.  Although the City Planning Commission denied this project on April 14th, the developer has exercised their right to appeal the decision to the Fayetteville City Council.   The appeal is on the agenda of this week's city council meeting, Tuesday May 20th.  The City Attorney is suggesting the council approve the project because it is technically meeting city code and "no facts have been presented, no expert traffic engineer analysis provided to support a conclusion that the project would create or compound a dangerous traffic condition."

Fayetteville's City Engineer agreed with the traffic studies findings, but I believe the traffic study is flawed and was conducted by the developer's agent without regard to the unique traffic patterns of this location.  None-the-less, if you have any facts or insight related to traffic and/or safety issues related to this development please share them with your city council member or all of them (emails are below).  I also encourage everyone who is able to attend the City Council meeting Tuesday.  Either in person or via Zoom.
