This cry comes from a deeply worried mother, struggling to provide for her daughter diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome. Her daughter, like countless others in our society, relies heavily on Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) to contribute towards their household and to afford basic utilities such as her phone bill. That might seem like a small comfort to most, but sadly, recent news about planned government cuts to benefits has left her, and others like her, feeling hopeless. This is her story, but it's also the story of many in our country.
