We regret to inform you that the institution which represents the health sector, bent down to compromise with students health. It is bitter pill to swallow that the students who are the future of our health sector and ayurvedic research, are being deprived of healthy environment to be evaluated. The decision of conducting the examination in Gujarat Ayurved University is too Hastily taken and perilous in the sensitive time of corona outbreak. University has not declared so far what protective measures they will take to combat Covid-19 while conducting the examination.
Following are the issues raised by the students pertaining to conduction of examination:

1) In university many students are coming from remote areas, some are from other states and countries as well. It would be difficult for students to travel due to scarce availability of transportation facilities.

2) Many students do not have reading materials to prepare for examination because of lockdown which has been stretched from last week of march.

3) There would be students in substantial numbers who are coming from corona hotspot and Containment zones. If these students come in contact with others students, it will worsen the situation.

4) Four students are living in one hostel room. How much physical distancing will be maintained?

5) University has not declared when hostels are expected to be functional yet. How the protective norms would be taken care of while there are common bathrooms and toilets?

6) Exam would be conducted in multiple shift. If the students who are allocated in morning shift and some of them are found as corona positive, it will enhance the probability manifold that students of upcoming will get infected.

7) In this critical time, We even hesitate to come out from home to buy essential goods. And at the same time, students will be compelled to travel at various places to appear in examination. It would be obligatory for them to do so keeping in minds the bright future and career. But it will take toll of their mental health.

8) Hostel has been allocated for Covid-19 patients, how students will manage their chores among positive patients?

9) It would be difficult for students to manage food and rented premises.

Considering All the above points we the students of Ayurveda colleges of Gujarat request to grant "MASS PROMOTION" to 1st, 2nd & 3rd year fresher as well as KT holders.
