AGL’s proposal is to operate a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) – a giant gas tanker permanently planted at the end of a jetty, which would receive liquefied natural gas (LNG). It will receive shipments from interstate or overseas, store it, and then convert it into gas for distribution, via a new pipeline that runs through high value agricultural land. AGL would completely destroy the environment and all marine life for kilometers on end.
