SC is currently attracting real sustainable, clean energy and industry. Nuclear dumping is fraught with health hazards, and clearly detracts from the clean up of existing legacy waste which is slowly seeping into our environment like at Hanford. Radioactivity is bad for business.

In addition the argument for reprocessing of spent nuclear( commercial waste) fuel does not get rid of the plutonium and produces a much more toxic waste stream.

SC is at a cross roads. We have an opportunity to become independent from Government's inconsistent funding by choosing private enterprise to grow truly clean power sources, for instance GE's wind turbine facility in Greenville, and supply our state with steady jobs. Clean up our existing waste and don't bring any more waste in.
