Governor Mike DeWine, stop execution of Quisi Bryan. Clemency for Quisi.
The Issue
The death penalty is not justice.
Stop execution of Quisi Bryan, Clemency For Quisi.
On June 25, 2000, Cleveland police officer Wayne Leon stopped a car driven by Quisi Bryan, because of an altered temporary license tag on the back of the car. Unknown to Officer Leon, two warrants had been issued for Bryan's arrest. As Officer Leon stood in the street next to his police cruiser checking Bryan's identification, Bryan pulled a .45 caliber semi-automatic Glock from his coat and shot Leon, killing him instantly. Bryan then got back into his vehicle and drove away.
Quisi Bryan was found guilty of murdering Leon and was sentenced to death.

Stop execution of Quisi Bryan.
Clemency for Quisi Bryan.

Governor DeWine is issuing this reprieve due to ongoing problems involving the willingness of pharmaceutical suppliers to provide drugs to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (DRC), pursuant to DRC protocol, without endangering other Ohioans.
