Support for Windows XP ended 8 April 2014, Microsoft no longer supports the Windows XP Operating System. This means Windows XP do not receive Microsoft software updates, including security updates that help protect systems from viruses, spyware and other malicious software. 

Too many Governments and businesses continue to use this 'at risk' Operating System with no regard for security, privacy and safety of our personal data and in some cases, the lives of people in hospitals.

Today, many people were affected by the malicious “WannaCrypt” software.
This was so bad that Microsoft did a 1 off patch to fix this for no longer supported Operating Systems, due to the catastrophic impact this could have on people, business and governments world-wide. 

Here is a quote from a Doctor located in the UK at a hospital with Windows XP Machines:

"I'm a doctor in one of the affected hospitals, a major trauma
center in London. Everything has gone down. No blood
results, no radiology images, there's no group specific blood
available. They've declared an internal major incident, the
hospital is diverting major trauma and stroke patients. All
elective surgery was cancelled from about 1pm. We're not
doing anything in theatre that's not life or limb threatening.
There will almost certainly be deaths as a result of this. I
sincerely hope whichever cunts were responsible for this get
utterly fucked by GCHQ."

It is time to ditch this extremely unsafe, unprotected Operating System for the safety, security and privacy of everyone. Anyone running XP needs to seriously consider upgrading to a supported Operating System that is safe, secure and gets updates!
