Allow Ontario Students to Skip School to Protest

Whether it be a strike or a sit-in, Ontario students from every city should be allowed to skip school to protest. Protests could be for anything, common topics include climate change, racial justice, lgbtq+ rights, and women's rights, although various topics would also be accepted.
"Why can't students wait to protest after school?"
The thing is, students can protest after school, but many issues are simply too important to wait until after school to protest. This means that skipping school and giving up their education to protest actively demonstrates that students truly do care and are very passionate about making a change as the next generation. Skipping school to protest shows the government and people in charge how urgent certain issues are, and that students are willing to miss out on their education until further changes are made.
"If students skipped, they would never finish their education!"
To prevent students from missing too much class time, the goal is that provincial/territorial governments would allow protesting as a valid reason to miss school. Students would also be given a limited amount of days for protesting, similar to many jobs which have a limited amount of sick days and vacation days.
The government of Ontario allows students to take time off of school to go on vacation, so they should also allow students to take time off of school to protest for their rights as people and for issues that truly matter.
