The Government of Ontario is a democratic institution responsible for overseeing the operation and administration of the province of Ontario, Canada. Its three branches—executive, legislative, and judicial—separate powers among distinct agencies to ensure a balanced system of governance. The executive branch includes the Lieutenant Governor and the Premier, along with the cabinet. The legislative assembly, composed of Members of Provincial Parliament (MPPs), creates and enforces laws, while the judiciary interprets these laws.
