Release allotted funds for the P.K Sawant memorial in Ratnagiri.

Release allotted funds for the P.K Sawant memorial in Ratnagiri.
The Issue
The memorial of Shri P.K. Sawant (Balasaheb Sawant), Ex Chief Minister of Maharashtra is still incomplete after ten years of start of building. The funds which have been allotted for this by GOM, have not yet been fully released as per news reports by ABP Maza dated 06th May 2021. We request the GOM to release the funds and complete this project. Shri P.K. Sawant was an honest and an upright man who gave everything for the Nation, Maharashtra and especially for the Konkan region. As a tall figure from the Konkan region, it is imperative that he be remembered for his work and his legacy.
He fought for the freedom struggle, was an important part of the Sanyukta Maharashtra movement and served for a long time as the Agriculture minister of Maharastra. He was so involved in the above mentioned struggles that he neglected his personal life for it. A tall figure in the history of Maharashtra and of India and he must get his due.
