Serval year’s ago children’s statements were replaced with Educational health care plans, (EHCP). A so called legal document. It was  Thought that bringing education, health, social services, and not to mention the voice of the children/young person together would benefit all. Giving a greater understanding of often extremely complex educational, health and social needs, to date  this is falling and has been since the start.  Millions and millions of tax payers money is being used inadequately. Therefore Children and young people are being denied access to essential services due to what I can only say is poor management and misguided advice to government. Its totally inhumane and lawful. I can say this as we’ve being in the system for serval year’s. My 21 year old daughter who has Autism ‘ current ‘EHCP is over 2 Years out of date and the impact on her mental health, education, lack of upto date resources is unlawful and not to mention a total waste of tax payers money. She just wants to have access to education, services that will enable her to live independently and go on to contribute to Society. Unfortunately there are thousands of youngsters being failed.
