What kid doesn't love jumping into water! Carnegies Diving Pool is a much loved facility for kids to enjoy and experience the Olympic Sport of Diving. Australia is one of the top 10 countries in the world in this sport, but the grass roots opportunities are disappearing with the diving pools. During Summer Carnegie's diving pool is filled with the sound of kids having fun. Local schools use the pool for training. Now it is being redeveloped by the council they are considering that the diving pool won't be retained. Carnegie pool will be like all the other pools around Melbourne. The diving tower and pool have heritage value representing the post '56 Melbourne Olympics and the classic Aussie summer. A better outcome would be to enclose it and allow year around diving classes for the local community. We need to let them know we want it retained so they keep it.
