Chúng tôi, những người ký tên dưới đây, bao gồm các thành viên của cộng đồng người Việt tại Úc và những người yêu chuộng tự do, trân trọng gửi thỉnh nguyện thư này để bày tỏ sự ủng hộ đối với quân nhân dự bị Vincent Tran.

1. Thượng tôn pháp luật: Chúng tôi hoàn toàn tôn trọng hệ thống pháp lý của Úc và thừa nhận rằng việc phục vụ trong quân đội nước ngoài khi chưa có sự cho phép chính thức là vi phạm Mục 115A của Đạo luật Quốc phòng 1903.

2. Động cơ và lý tưởng: Hành động của Vincent Tran (24 tuổi) xuất phát từ một tâm hồn nhiệt huyết, muốn bảo vệ chính nghĩa và tự do cho Ukraine – một quốc gia đồng minh mà Chính phủ Úc đang nỗ lực hỗ trợ. Anh không phải là lính đánh thuê; anh là một người trẻ dũng cảm dấn thân vì những giá trị chung của thế giới tự do.

3. Đề nghị xem xét: Dựa trên sự hợp tác của Vincent với cơ quan điều tra và động cơ nhân đạo cao cả, chúng tôi tha thiết khẩn cầu quý cơ quan xem xét giảm nhẹ mức án tối đa (20 năm) xuống mức tối thiểu hoặc đặc xá, nhằm tạo cơ hội cho một công dân trẻ có ích tiếp tục đóng góp cho xã hội Úc.

PART 2: ENGLISH VERSION

Subject: Petition for Humanitarian Consideration and Lenience for Vincent Tran regarding the Defence Act 1903.

We, the undersigned members of the Vietnamese-Australian community and supporters of freedom, formally submit this petition to advocate for reservist Vincent Tran.

1. Respect for the Law: We fully respect the Australian legal system and acknowledge that serving in a foreign military without official authorization constitutes a breach of Section 115A of the Defence Act 1903.

2. Motivation and Ideals: Vincent Tran’s actions were driven by a profound commitment to justice and the defense of Ukraine—a nation that the Australian Government actively supports. He is not a mercenary; he is a courageous young individual who risked his life for the universal values of freedom and democracy.

3. Request for Lenience: In light of Vincent’s full cooperation with authorities and his noble humanitarian motivations, we earnestly appeal to the court and relevant ministers to exercise lenience. We request that the maximum penalty be reconsidered in favor of a reduced sentence or a humanitarian pardon, allowing this devoted young man to remain a productive member of Australian society.
