Auckland Grammar School has been around since 1869, and since then, they haven’t changed their uniform. They continue to keep the same shorts and shirt as before.

I feel like we should be given better uniforms for the winter. The shirt they give is some very very thin button up shirt that does not help with the freezing temperatures. The shorts they give for all year round is also ridiculous for winter. They are short and do not keep us warm. They sell long pants but we aren’t allowed to even wear it. This means we are stuck with short pants for the entire year.

Yes there are jumpers and jackets, but that only helps for your body. Your legs are still frozen. And we aren’t even allowed these jackets within classrooms making classes unbearable to focus in.(most teachers keep the door open or have the AC on in winter)

Overall, AGS just needs to give us a better winter uniform as we are freezing. It is not healthy and should be common sense. Stop being in the past. It’s 2023.
