Lina Ognissanti also known as the ‘Dinky Donut Lady has been selling doughnuts and ice cream for nearly 50 years in Bedford Town Centre. 

28th September 2024 marks her last day in Bedford Town Centre after putting her apron up, a very emotional day for all of us. Lina is a great example of a hard working and down to earth woman. Her doughnuts and ice cream were lovely and you wouldn’t see her missing a day off work.  

In 2018 we did a petition to recognise her hard work in the community but we didn’t know a few years later in 2024 that it would be her last time offering sweet treats in Bedford Town Centre. She will be missed by all and Bedford won’t be the same without her. 

We would urge everyone to support this petition to help Lina get the recognition / reward she deserves for being a wonderful and positive person, being the heart of Bedford.
