Not only was I shocked to see Abi Stephens had been replaced, I simply could not understand why.

Speedway is not just a sport; it is a family — a huge family of fans, riders, clubs, and the GP itself. Abi was a massive part of that family, and it showed in the way she presented the Grand Prix series. Her ability to know exactly the right thing to say at the right moment is not something you can easily replace.

When interviewing Tai after his crash, you could see how much it meant to her. The same applied to her interviews with Dan Bewley after his win in Manchester and Brady Kurtz after his big moments. The emotion and genuine feeling she brought to the Speedway GP coverage is missing this season.

How many sports do you watch where you can actually remember interviews because they were that good?

Abi, Greg, and Scott worked brilliantly together, and with the addition of Olly Allen this year, TNT Sports could have had the best presenting team on television.
