End Homelessness in Los Angeles

End Homelessness in Los Angeles
The Issue
Homelessness in America is a continuous battle that never ends. Among our cities we see tents taking over neighborhoods. Couple weeks ago in the heart of Los Angeles, a well known homeless Veteran died. A human being that made a side walk his home for over 20 years, was found dead. We can blame the cold winter, or the Veterans Benefits Administration, or Los Angeles Mayor committee, and even my neighborhood for not caring enough to take action. More than 1000 homeless people died in Los Angeles each year. I created this petition to honor all those homeless that felt forgotten during cold nights, hungry days, and sick nights. It brings overwhelming sadness when you think about precious human beings dying in our streets when it can be avoided. Recent studies show that the mortality rate among homeless people has jumped. Los Angeles city needs Los Angeles Community Action Network (LA Can) to continue to exhaust all possible resources on those individuals that are in extreme need. Homeless people need proper housing, job opportunities, proper health care, mental help, and rehabilitation centers more available to them.
