I have an autistic son. He was diagnosed in 2014. For 10 years I have struggled with very little support. I cannot believe just how very little support there is out there for kids on the spectrum. It makes you feel very isolated and angry. As a parent I would like to see more parents get the guidance and support we need by professional people on a regular basis. These children need more support on a one-one basis daily if they are to thrive. My son has lost one of his support teachers due to lack of funding and a lecturer from autistic society has also lost her post due to lack of funding. No-one seems to care about AUTISM. AUTISM is not funded by the government and isn't important enough. Do you think our kids and families deserve to be put to the side and not be given support it desperately needs?
