This is a plea requesting that you exercise your power as the lead official and issue a ruling of an acquittal verdict: Not proven and commute Jerrico Lindsey's sentence to time-served. It is outrageous that Jerrico Lindsey was charged with and found guilty of murder in this case then sentenced to life plus 90 years. On the witness stand, William Freeman said he did not see Jerrico Lindsey do no shooting because he said he got out of his car and ran the other way. He said he just heard the shots. DNA proved Mr.Lindsey had no contact with the victim, and gunshot residue proved Lindsey did not shoot a gun. How can you send someone to prison for life plus 90 years for a crime that was not proven in court that he did. He had no prior convictions. How is this case any different from any other cases. Mr. Lindsey was locked up for 3 years under a 3 million dollars bond. You might as well say without bond and without a trial. He has been in jail since the day after the crime. What about William Freeman?? He confessed to the crime and was placed under the Federal Witness Program with a much much lesser bond and sentenced to an open 10 years in prison. Reginald Pettway confessed to taking part in the crime and was sentenced to an open 8 years in prison and Melissa Ordonez confessed to her part in orchestrating the crime and prosecutors gave her an unusual plea agreement of a 10-year sentence wit parole at three years and four months so she would not testify. The reason they did not want her to testify is because she would have testified to Jerrico Lindsey's innocence. In exchange for Jerrico Lindsey's freedom she was sentenced to do one more year in addition to the 2 years she has done. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, Freeman, Pettway and Ordonez HAD PRIOR CONVICTIONS NOW Lindsey on the other hand has no prior convictions, and was not proven to have committed this crime. Why has he been sentenced to life plus 90 years in prison for a crime he did not committ. What cause he is black??? Well we must look at the evidence in this case which proves Mr. Lindsey's innocence. THIS ISNT RIGHT. This injustice should not go unchallenged. WHY WASTE ANOTHER YOUNG LIFE!!!! Even if the evidence had proved that Lindsey committed this crime, I dont think life plus 90 years is fair considering the other 3 people involved got less than 10 years. NO WAY!!!! NOT WHEN THE SYSTEM IS NOT EQUAL. Every one against him are a bunch of hypocrits passing judgement on Lindsey, when you don't even know him.

If Lindsey had committed this crime he should have been given the same sentence as everybody else involved. What I expected of the jury was that they return from the deliberation room and by their verdict say that they hesitate to act to convict Jerrico Lindsey because of the polluted sources, because of the absence of corroborating evidence, because of te absence of evidence linking him to the scene, because of the words that you do not hear on the tapes or see in the transcripts, because both the eyewitness and the police report describe the shooter as something other than Jerrico Lindsey. I am asking you to bring justice back and FREE JERRICO LINDSEY and commute his sentence to time-served.
