Discord is one of the most popular online platforms. Recently, discord decided to change their Community Guidelines to restrict all mention of guns and "other regulated goods" to age restricted channels. This affects all discord servers. It seems to be a response to the increase in awareness of gun violence. However, suppressing gun talk does not help with gun violence, but it only suppresses thinking about it. Guns are not explicit content. Guns should be open to be discussed by people of all ages. Discord servers dedicated to gun talk will now lose many of their members. 

Therefore, we petition that discord change their Community Guidelines to allow gun discussions for all! Sign the petition!
