The issue

With the explosion of population, there became a significant increase in housing estate approvals on the Fraser Coast. Many of these estates are being built back to back, leaving little to no reserves or corridors for wildlife to take refuge.

As a licenced wildlife carer and having a large network of carers and rescuers we are seeing an alarming number of animals being struck by cars. Many of these animals are females with young on board and the car strikes are either killing both mum and her joey, or leaving the joey orphaned.

What I would like to see is high visibility painted road signs displaying "wildlife crossing" or "wildlife in this area"  in the areas that are seeing large number of wildlife car strikes such as Point Vernon and Kawungan.

Please show your support and let's work together to live in harmony with our beautiful wildlife.

Please sign and share this petition and contact the council , your local councillors and anyone else you think might be able to make this happen.
