discord has recently made a change to the way that webhooks work, which means that unless a server has pluralkit, you are unable to use its emojis anywhere else.

this means that the majority of servers dedicated to storing emojis become useless for systems, and means that unless a server is willing to add pluralkit (which many aren’t for moderation reasons, or just because they don’t know what systems are), the only way to fix this is to upload the emojis to a server that does have one. nitro becomes a lot harder to use if you use pluralkit the majority of the time.

when the pluralkit developers reached out to discord on this issue, they decided to leave it the way that it was, instead of fixing the error - there’s no reason for this to happen since webhooks worked as it was and this isn’t majorly fixing the app, it just shows a lack of responsibility and care on discord’s part.

systems should be able to use nitro the way it was intended to be used the same as any other discord user
