This petition supports thousands of Australian parents and children being torn apart by a broken system. 

My  false allegation  was never investigated. I was ousted from my home. I lost my business. Had no access to my money I earned in 20 years. I  became homeless for 3 years and 4 months. The worst is I haven’t seen my daughter in over 4 years. 

Every day that passes, more children lose a parent, more fathers become homeless, and more families are destroyed by lies. Innocent parents deserve justice. Support petition Sign / Enter/ Share. 

Six changes we want to Australian family law and DVO laws

1. Evidence before punishment ,No parent should lose their home or their child based on an accusation alone. Claims must be tested with evidence first.

2. 50/50 parenting as the starting point unless abuse is proven, children deserve equal time with both parents from day one.

3. Penalties for false allegations ,If allegations are proven false or malicious, there must be real consequences.

4. Equal enforcement of court orders ,Court orders must apply equally to both parties. If there is a DVO, both the aggrieved and the respondent must follow the same rules, no contact, good behaviour, and equal consequences for breaches.

5. Independent accountability ,Courts, police, and child services must be reviewed by an independent body when they get it wrong.

6. Enforceable oversight of unethical lawyers ,There must be a strong, independent body with real power to investigate and penalise lawyers who misuse family law for financial / child custody gains , drag cases out, and cause mental health harm to parents and children.
