Fisher Price and Mattel :Please Stop Using PVC in your toys!

The issue

PVC is one of the most toxic plastics produced on Earth. It releases huge amounts of carcinogenic Dioxins that pollute the planet and all who live on it, both during the production phase and the disposal of PVC. Fisher Price and Mattel continue to make toys out of PVC despite so many other well respected toy companies removing all PVC toys from their production lines.

Children who play with Barbie Dolls and other Fisher Price and Mattel PVC toys are being exposed to these Dioxins plus a mixed toxic cocktail of other dangerous materials used to make PVC.

During a PVC toys lifetime these harmful materials can leach out exposing our children to the dangers of e.g. Cadmium, Mercury, VOC's, Dioxins, Organotins, Chlorine & Lead.

When we contacted Fisher Price and Mattel about the use of PVC in their toy lines, they remained convinced that because the US and other world safety regulatory bodies deem PVC safe for use, then it must be.

We the parents must put the pressure on Fisher Price and Mattel and let them know that we want them to find a safer, healthier plastic alternative to replace their PVC toys immediately.
