The signatories to the petition Reached 1378 now. Pension updation for bankpensioners is not considered by IBA since implementaionn of pension as per pension regulation act 1996.The reason offerred by IBA is banks poor profitability now a days. But it is not so. Pension is paid to retirees from pension corpus fund created for this purpose by banks which is contributed by the employees themselves during their active service. The pension corpus runs into over 200000/crores.The honourable Supreme Court has also held that pension and pension updation from time to time is not a bounty but the retirees right snd managements cannot deny the same on the grounds of profitability in DS Nakra case in the year 2015. However our demand has not been accepted  by the banks/IBA during the Bipartite settlements. As such is the case now we the bank pensioners have no option but to fight ourselves with finance ministry.
