It is too common that voters in low income precincts, predominantly Black and Latino, are victim of unfair, unsafe, and unjust treatment while casting their ballot. Why is it that someone from a low income neighborhood is forced to bring stadium chairs, water, food, and multiple forms of identification to cast their vote, while "equal" citizens in predominantly rich white neighborhoods are allowed the opportunity to simply stroll in and out of the office? This is due to decades-long voter suppression committed by the Republican Party in which they strategically find new ways to throw sand in the gears of low-income voting offices. These strategies include, but are not limited to, sending Ballot Security Personnel THUGS to press voters for forms of identification, manipulating delivery of machines so that they are hours late, and reporting voters they deem "suspicious", who are overwhelmingly Black and Latino. The deliberately unequal treatment of United States citizens has been active for hundreds of years, and it is time for our voice to be heard. No longer will we tolerate the partisan favoritism by our GOP who is supposed to work in our best interest. It is time for humanity to take over.
