Providing accessible healthcare often entails much more than medical facilities. As a person affected by the situation, I can affirm that the existing parking spaces at Victoria Hospital is woefully insufficient and puts an undue burden on patients and their families. Currently, the overflow parking is a staggering 20-minute walk from the hospital. Such a situation is not only inconvenient but also near impossible for people with mobility issues, who depend on proximity and accessibility.

Victoria Hospital is a healthcare provider to hundreds of individuals daily. A lack of adequate parking only serves to deter those in need of immediate medical attention and makes access to healthcare services unduly difficult.

An expansion of the car parking at Victoria Hospital by an additional 300 spaces would greatly alleviate these issues, improving patient experience and providing necessary aid to those who need it most. Easy access to medical facilities is a right that everyone should have, irrespective of their mobility abilities. Consequently, we urge the relevant authorities to take immediate action on this issue.
