Hi I am Mia Pallant in Year 6 in Australia. I am currently doing a PYP exhibition into the suffragette movement. The suffragette movement goal was  for women to get the right to vote. Their goal was achieved but  It took over 50 years for men to realize that women should get the vote. People all over the world still don't think women should have the right to vote. 

William T. Sedgwick believed that no good could come from letting women vote. “It would mean a degeneration and a degradation of human fiber which would turn back the hands of time a thousand years,” Sedgwick said in 1914. 

I completely disagree with William T. Sedgwick. Women gave up so much to work  in WW1 and when men came back women had to leave their jobs.
