On the night of 21st of November, myself and Meg Whitby held our engagement party at the Wonthella Bowling Club. 

What started of as what was seemingly looking to be a beautiful and memorable night, slowly turned into an embarrassing and upsetting experience. 

Throughout the night guests were harassed by bar staff and falsely accused of bringing their own alcohol inside the venue, people were also told that they had to bring their own glasses back up to the bar and clean up after themselves. Negative racial slurs were reported from staff members and someone also kicked out of the venue for having their feet on a table. The bar was cut off at 10pm and the police then called for an “out of control” event.

This petition was created to show that this was a shared experience and that our complaints are not the voice of one but the voice of many, so that the venue will recognise and hopefully take responsibility for their unacceptable and embarrassing actions.
