Syrian students have to travel for long distances to other countries to take TOEFL iBT as there are no iBT test centers in Syria. Now that ETS has provided Home Edition TOEFL iBT for candidates' safety, it is still banned to take that exam in Syria. Our purpose is to provide equal opportunities to all candidates all around the world. Syrian candidates are able to meet the technical and environmental conditions set by ETS, so why the prejudice?

It costs a Syrian candidate approximately 400 USD for a round trip to a neighboring country. Apart from that, they have to book a hotel for two nights approximately 100 USD. The sum will be 700 USD including the test fees. This is not fair for candidates living in a country where the average monthly income is 60 USD.

Syrian candidates won't be able to pay the test fees through online banking systems because it's also banned; however, that could be arranged by the help of the candidates' relatives or friends living abroad.

Together, we have to fight for equality and to treat all humans the same.
