The Issue

Growing up as a motorsports enthusiast, I was always in awe of those who ventured into the exhilarating world of NASCAR. Greg Biffle was not just a remarkable NASCAR driver; he was a local hero from Vancouver, Washington, who reached the pinnacle of motorsport and became embedded in the annals of NASCAR history. Watching someone from our community achieve greatness on such a grand stage was both inspiring and motivating.

Sadly, on December 18th, 2025, Greg, along with his beloved family—wife Cristina Grusso Biffle and their children, 5-year-old Ryder and 14-year-old Emma—tragically lost their lives in a plane crash, which also claimed the lives of the flight crew. This unimaginable tragedy not only took away a remarkable talent but also a family revered as a beacon of goodwill and generosity. Greg was renowned not only for his racing prowess but also for his deep sense of community and charitable nature, spending the last few months helping in natural disaster like Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica using his own private boat, helicopter, and other equipment.

It is in light of these profound contributions and the devastating loss that I am calling on the community, Greg Biffle's fans, and all champions of local and national sports to join hands in commemorating his legacy. By erecting a statue or memorial in Vancouver, we can ensure that his contributions to motorsport, his upstanding character, and his family’s memory are eternally memorialized.

Let us pay homage to Greg Biffle and his family by creating a lasting tribute that reflects his enduring impact on both motorsport and our community. Your signature can bring us closer to turning this homage into a reality. Please sign the petition and help us honor Greg, Cristina, Ryder, and Emma Biffle in the way they truly deserve.
