Respected Sir/Madam,

We, the undersigned cricket fans, citizens, and supporters of Team India, write this appeal to express our deep pride and admiration for the Indian Women’s Cricket Team, who have brought immense glory to the nation by winning the 2025 ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.

Their triumph is not only a sporting achievement but a landmark in the story of Indian sports — built on years of dedication, perseverance, and excellence. The team’s performance has inspired millions, drawn record viewership, and demonstrated that women’s cricket has become a major force in global sport.

However, the recent announcement of ₹51 crore prize money for the women’s team — compared to ₹125 crore for the men’s T20 World Cup victory — has left many fans disheartened. While we fully celebrate both achievements, we believe that equal effort, excellence, and national pride deserve equal recognition.

We therefore appeal to the BCCI to:

Reconsider and enhance the prize money for the women’s team to be on par with that of the men’s team.
Commit to a long-term policy of equal reward and recognition for future international victories by India’s women’s and men’s teams alike.
Continue investing in women’s cricket through stronger infrastructure, contracts, and league development — ensuring India leads the world in sporting equality.

This gesture will not only honor the spirit of fairness and gender equality but will also send a powerful message that Indian cricket values merit, not gender.

With respect and optimism,

We, the undersigned, appeal for your kind and immediate consideration.

Jai Hind.
