My name is a concerned citizen from Mpigi, Uganda. I have been unable to initiate any projects in my area of jurisdiction, just like the entire town council. This situation is due to the untimely and incomplete disbursement of urban local revenue and local service tax to our council.

Our community's development is hindered by this issue as it affects the implementation of crucial public services that improve our quality of life. According to a 2018 report by the Uganda Local Government Association (ULGA), delayed disbursements have led to significant project delays and increased costs in many councils across Uganda.

The government must take immediate action for us, its citizens, who are directly affected by these delays. We need transparency in how funds are allocated and disbursed, ensuring they reach their intended destinations on time and in full.
