Ensure anyone working with children under 16 is qualified to recognise neuro-diversity

Ensure anyone working with children under 16 is qualified to recognise neuro-diversity

The Issue

It is commonplace and shocking that social workers, in particular educators do not recognise Nero-diversity disorders like ADD, ADHD, Autism and many other spectrum brain challenges.

Due to this inability or lack of training and ability to recognise these behaviour patterns, many children stand to loose out in specialised treatment that will provide a solid platform for development into adulthood.

Continued and escalating adult social issues can be traced back to this lack of child development strategies. It is time to act now and ensure these children, many of whom have significant talents that will benefit society later in life, have early diagnosis by primary caregivers, health professionals and parents.
