Enhance Country Village Park Skatepark: More Space, More Obstacles!

The Issue

Living with my loving grandma, who was courageously fighting metastatic breast cancer, I have found solace and strength in skateboarding. The local skatepark at Country Village Park has become not just a place to practice tricks, but a sanctuary where I, along with other local skaters, can escape and evolve. However, the park's limited size and lack of diverse obstacles are hindering our development as skaters and individuals.

The skatepark currently doesn't meet the demand of the daily influx of skaters wanting to improve their skills. The same obstacles over time have led to repetition, and indeed monotony. An expansion adding a new area with fresh obstacles would not only breathe new life into our community but also motivate us to continually better ourselves. This is not merely a request for more concrete and metal, but a plea for preserving a lifeline for scores of locals, like myself, who find in skating a pathway to cope with life's challenges.

According to the Tony Hawk Foundation, skateparks serve up to 26,000 skaters, indicating a high demand and need for facilities such as this. With your support, we can provide Country Village Park's skaters with the space they need to grow. Sign this petition and contribute to making our community skatepark a place for thriving, dreaming, and evolving. Help us transform our skatepark into our sanctuary.
