The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have caused the loss of thousands of lives and drained our economy of trillions of dollars. There is no evidence that these wars are helping the United States win "the war on terror" - in fact, it can even be argued that they are having the opposite effect. Why continue to sacrifice irreplaceable lives and spend irretrievable funds when we are in the midst of a recession and need our human talent and financial strength here at home? Ending these wars and cutting back on the military budget would be the ethical and sane way to refocus our energies on rebuilding a nation we can be proud of.

Letter to
U.S. House of Representatives
U.S. Senate
President of the United States
We are living in complex and difficult times. It can be hard to know where to put our energy and how to prioritize. There is no doubt that a major change must happen, and soon, if we are to revitalize our nation.

The American people are hurting both at home and on foreign soil - some of us have lost our loved ones, others our jobs, still others our homes, and far too many us of have lost hope in ever retrieving the American Dream.

By changing the way the government spends its money we can bring the troops home to a country that is on the road to recovery. Let's invest in hope instead of fear.

Thank you for taking the time to join our call to cut back on the military budget and end two futile, undeclared wars.
