The Drug War has proven itself to be a complete and utter failure economically and has caused nothing but suffering and destruction in the lives of those affected by its backward policies. Our current approach promotes systemic racism and profiteering of the prison industry, provides an endless supply of cash to violent drug cartels the world over, costs our country billions annually in policing, prosecution, and incarceration, and pits our police force against the citizenry which they've sworn to protect. Please do your part to end this insanity now, and we can begin the healing process this country and the world so desperately need.

End the War on Drugs

The Drug War has proven itself to be a complete and utter failure economically and has caused nothing but suffering and destruction in the lives of those affected by its backward policies. Our current approach promotes systemic racism and profiteering of the prison industry, provides an endless supply of cash to violent drug cartels the world over, costs our country billions annually in policing, prosecution, and incarceration, and pits our police force against the citizenry they've sworn to protect. Please do your part to end this insanity now, and we can begin the healing process this country and the world so desperately need.
I cannot promise that you'll have my vote, but I can tell you that the easiest way to lose my vote is to support the status quo and the continuation of our disastrous approach to the drug policy.
After fifty years, the numbers are in. It's not working. Now is the time to turn the tide of public opinion on this issue. It needn't be an act of the brave to take a stand against these policies. Acknowledging this systemic failure after thorough examination of the evidence, which is more than ample, is a sign of intelligent leadership. Please take that stand and do everything in your power to stop this colossal waste of public money and resources.
