End tattoo discrimination in the workplace

End tattoo discrimination in the workplace
The Issue
Hello, my name is Sam. I currently have my masters degree in criminal justice with a GPA of 3.9 at the time of graduation. I have no criminal background, not even a traffic violation, but have been turned down multiple times at interviews due to “tattoo policy” within establishments. The tattoos are my skin color now, and are a form of expression through art, yet somehow employers believe that skin color and body art (tattoos) fall under “dress code”. I urge everyone that has tattoos or does not, to sign this and help create an equal opportunity workplace for all. Assumptions are what keeps us from growing and progressing, yet we are assumed to be “bad”, let’s make the future brighter for everyone that has a tattoo and wants to make a better life for themselves.
