We implore artists, performers, and supporters of the arts community to oppose the  takeover of the Kennedy Center byr President Donald Trump. The Kennedy Center, as a federally funded national cultural institution, should encourage an open-minded approach to the arts rather than promoting a political agenda. This  takeover will threaten artistic freedom, stifle creativity, and impose a narrow vision of what art should be.  By standing up for our shared values, we can protect the integrity of the arts at the Kennedy Center.
