Over the years not just myself but many people I know have been abandoned and refused treatment by the ACT mental health system both in the community and in hospital. My most recent experience what 2 weeks ago when I was supposed to be transferred to a new team but was rejected so instead of my team I had finding other options they closed my file and left me on my own. People in the mental health system or who have a mental health issue and not in the system cause they are classed bad enough. Someone should have to be on the verge of death before receiving help there needs to be more early intervention. Help me be able to prove to the government that treatment needs to change for mental health and they need to be able provide each person treatment to their need not what the system thinks they need. Come on Canberra let’s prove to them that they are not doing good enough and they need to change.
