Concordia university charges graduate students $600/semester for exceeding the time limit to finish their programs. With the pandemic, many students have had their research interrupted or extended due to circumstances beyond anyone's control. This issue affects multiple cohorts of students across all programs at Concordia. We, the graduate students of Concordia, are calling on the School of Graduate Studies to 1) automatically extend time limits for graduate students, and 2) place a moratorium on Time Limit Extension (TLE) fees.
