Letters of endorsement to a public service position for Joseph Heinze

Letters of endorsement to a public service position for Joseph Heinze
The Issue
In light of recent, reoccuring events, wouldn't it be nice if public sevice workers (at least those directly responsibile for our safety, security and health), were charged to obtain a set amount of signatures (via petition), and present those signatures to their political representatives for letter(s) of endorsement in order to be considered for the position?
This process would produce a better quality candidate (completing this unpaid process would show dedication and determaination).
The signatures represent the confidence that the citizenry has in the individual accomplishing the task.
The petitioner can take pride in completing the task of obtaining the signatures and subsequently the letter(s) of endorsement, which is likely to translate into pride in the position gainded and a sense of commitment and responsibility.
The citizens can feel confident with the knowledge that the person coming to their aid/rescue, or that of their loved ones, has been chosen by them. This would translate into restored confidence in those that serve them faithfully.
Petitition for Endorsement
Joseph Heinze
Hello, my name is Joey Heinze and I'm asking for your help with my petition to get endorsements from my political representatives, as I seek employment as a public servant.
For the past 4 years, I've been a volunteer EMT/Firefighter.
In 2013, I was awarded, 'Firefighter of the Year.'
I hold certificates/license as: Firefighter 1 (certified by the Maryland Fire, Rescue Institute) *EMT-B license from the Maryland Instutute for Emergency Medical Services System (MIEMSS) *CPR with AED (certified by Baltimore Conty Fire Department). *Hazardous Materials Core Competencies, (certified by the Baltimore County Fire Department). ANd Maryland Safe Boater's license, (certified by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources).
With your help, I hope to acquire endorsement letters that I may present to my recruiter as representation of the confidence placed in me by the community I will be serving (currently serve voluntarily).
I take my responsibility to my community seriously and hope that I get an opportunity to prove it.
Thank you for your signature.
