The passage of the Barangay Ordinance on Curfew was a response to the various crimes in different forms, different ways to contemplate and ways to solve then empower the constituents through volunteerism to participate in the implementation of the curfew ordinance.

Crime and violence prevention is essential in enhancing barangay's welfare. The government values the efforts of the people in building a better environment and this is clearly shown through their effort to establish programs that will help in crime and violence prevention. One of which is the implementation of the curfew ordinance, implementing this will surely lessen crimes and violence because it will require all minors to be in their homes after a certain hour. The curfew ordinance has been implemented for about a year now and it has produced good results, however, some barangays have not yet implemented the ordinance or not yet aware of the purpose of why the ordinance was created. 

The key to moving forward with an effective curfew is not just a police strategy, but also a community strategy. For more effective and efficient curfew ordinance, there is two main ways could do this are through ""disorder policing and "challenging residents" with curfew ordinance: It prevents crime by addressing local problems before they become greater problems. If a broken streetlight or graffiti is not fixed then it can lead to more serious crimes like robbery or assault. This problem could be avoided if people took time out of their day to fix these small things.

The purpose of this paper was to explore crime prevention techniques that are effective toward keeping peace and order in our communities. Furthermore, there is the advantages and disadvantages.

The Advantages:

·  It reduces the threat of human trafficking and child exploitation.

·  Teenage curfew can teach lessons about personal responsibility.

·  Curfews can provide peace of mind for families.

·  It is an opportunity for parents and teens to set healthy boundaries.

The Disadvantages

· It provides parents and teens with a false sense of security.

· Some teenage curfew rules can encourage rebellion.

· There can be legal consequences for violating curfews.

· It impacts minority teens more than any other demographic.

· Teenage curfew laws create unnecessary conflicts with today’s youth and the police.
