Move forward with the creation of eco-sustainable communities in Los Angeles, in California and Worldwide to build an eco-sustainable, resilient, biodiverse, regenerative economy in the state and everywhere else, support lifestyles that substantially reduce the human footprint, eliminate consumerism & lower carbon/greenhouse gas emissions, create pesticide/fossil fuel/plastic/gmo free zones, support the creation of a 'Faculty of Eco-Sustainability' and forge an eco-sustainable future for the state, country and the world. Cities are not sustainable as cities import most, if not all of their needs from the outside - water, food, timber, materials, energy, concrete, steel & many of its services, and export most of their wastes, sewer, plastic and pollution. A few things can be done in cities to reduce the ecological impact from their abusive human footprint. However, a complete restorative, regenerative eco-sustainable economy can only be achieved by building 'islands of eco-sustainability' suported by a eco-sustainable #universalGREENincome #UGI that can serve as transition platforms to a much reduced ecological footprint per capita, with a modified eco-sustainable FDR plan, and as a global step moving forward to a full fledged eco-sustainable economy.

The science shows that we have 10 years to transition, more likely less. 'Eco-sustainable communities' should include the ability to be as self-sufficient as possible, produce food grown without the use of synthetic chemicals or genetically modified organisms, eliminate plastics and fossil fuels, obtain energy from small scale rooftop wind/pv or small hydro where available, collect water from rainwater, compost human & biological wastes to re-establish the soil nutrient cycle and sequester carbon into the soil, recycle greywater, do most of their transportation by electrical and/or human powered vehicles.
