WARNING, this bug will spread through your game file like a virus….

 

Since the residential rental pack release, growing numbers of simmers have been getting green caution symbols over their lots. If these lots are residential rentals. It makes your lot unusable.

When you click on the impacted lots you can’t view the apartments above the first floor on the selection screen. 

 

if you select one of the ground floor lots, the game just buffers forever and doesn’t go into the lot.

 

if you go into build mode it goes into a loading screen for a few moments and then cuts to the select world screen and gives you the “error 800”.

 

if you go into the lot beside the impacted lot, the impacted lot appears with a default house or appears empty despite what you may have built on it.

 

if you evict sims from the impacted lot to try and replace the lots it still registered that there are sims living on the lots and won’t let you place a new lot..

Repairing your game won’t work, reinstalling your game won’t work, removing mods won’t work. There is no fix.

and again, unless you start a new save, it WILL come back and it WILL spread!

EA are fixing trivial issues like not getting rewards or cut interactions. We need them to prioritize their fixes appropriately. This needs to be put on top of their list as this can essentially ruin simmers legacy game files and can randomly impact your game at any time, particularly after an update.
