Why not donate your old desktops/laptops to an organization that refurbishes them and gives them away for free to terminally ill patients/clients instead of filling up landfills with caustic and hazard materials? 

Why not donate software (i.e., Operatings Systems such as Windows XP/Home Edition/Proffessional, etc.) to an organization that re-license the software to the patients/clients the computers are given to, therefore Recycling what is normally thrown in the trash?

Reason for this Petition:

1.  501c3 Status

The Internal Revenue Service does list us as a 501c3 status.  However, because we do not make or bring in $5000.00 per month/year they do not require us to file for the 501c3 Certificate.  This, in return, knocks us out of the running for any Local, State, Government or Non-profit Bonds, Grant or Loans.   This is just an F.Y.I. for you.  I do appreciate your checking on us.  That does mean a lot to me that you would take your valuable time to do so.
    
     Note:  We will be filing for our 501c3 Certificate as soon as we have the

     money.  We do not make any money nor do we pay anyone to work for  
     us.

2.  Purpose of Intent for the Petition.

To keep computers and all the peripherals out of our landfills in Oklahoma as they are caustic.  We are trying to help the environment by keeping the computers operational and in use, therefore keeping them safe and out our landfills with these corrosive materials.

3.  Other reasons for the Petition

To give a viable source for disposition of any computer equipment that may need disposing of.  As we are on an acre of land, we are offering our organization as a means of part of the solution.
